I am excited to be participating in the 36th Annual Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic this year on July 18, 2026. Each year, the game raises thousands of dollars for Shriners Children’s. Players, cheerleaders and coaches raise funds by reaching out to family, friends and businesses to support the game and raise money for a great cause.
Last year, the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic donated $125,000 to the two hospitals. This year, participants in the game have set a goal to donate $175,000 to Shriners Children’s and become the top football game fundraiser in the country.

As parents, we truly treasure our children and all of their accomplishments. As a coach, I'm beyond thrilled for all four of our young men who get to experience this game. I was privileged to also be selected to play in this game, my coach was Dan Turner. He made sure every single one of us understood the cause we were raising money for and I will never forget the statement he made about understanding what it is to be humble. At the end of a speech about the kids we were helping and how hard it is for some of them to just make it through one day, he said something I will never forget.
"A lot of you guys are here because your important people. You're important players, popular, strong, guess on the horizon and ready to conquer the world. Just remember one thing when you're out there being so important... 'It's nice to be important, it's more important to be nice. ' "
I hope that message resonates still today and it makes it to the kids. This game is played for a great cause! ❤️🏈
