LEWISTON, Maine — The Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic has announced the cheerleading coaching staff for the 2026 Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic, on July 18, 2026 recognizing an accomplished group of leaders who bring deep experience, passion for mentorship, and a shared commitment to service.
The 2026 cheerleading coaching staff includes:

Ally Smith – Brewer High School
Ally Smith is in her ninth year coaching at Brewer High School and brings twelve total seasons of coaching experience. She works with varsity high school athletes and focuses on building competitive, disciplined teams that take pride in their performance and representation.
Coach Smith previously cheered in the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl in 2013 and returned as a coach in 2025. She values the opportunity to unite communities around a cause that supports children and families across Maine.

Kate Doody – Kennebunk High School
Kate Doody is entering her fourth year coaching at Kennebunk High School and brings ten total years of coaching experience. She is dedicated to developing confident, hardworking student-athletes at the high school level. This will be her third summer coaching in the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic. A former Lobster Bowl cheerleader who represented Kennebunk in 2015, Coach Doody considers the event a meaningful tradition and a highlight of her coaching career.

Jennifer Fortin – Cony High School
Jennifer Fortin is in her fifth year coaching at Cony High School and brings ten total seasons of coaching experience. She emphasizes leadership, accountability, and teamwork within her program. Coach Fortin coached in the 2025 Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic and appreciates being part of an event rooted in compassion and community impact, using cheer as a platform to give back beyond the sidelines.

Sidney Bartunek – Gardiner Area High School
Sidney Bartunek is in her fourth year coaching at Gardiner Area High School and brings seven total seasons of coaching experience. She works with both middle and high school athletes, prioritizing discipline, growth, and team unity. The game in 2026 will mark Coach Bartunek’s first season with the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic, and she is proud to represent Gardiner while contributing to an event dedicated to service and support for children.

Molly Dunn – Houlton High School
Molly Dunn is in her fourth year coaching at Houlton High School and has coached six total seasons, including four winter and two fall seasons. She works with student-athletes in grades 9 through 12 and is committed to fostering both athletic development and personal growth.
This will be her first season coaching in the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic. As an early childhood educator, Coach Dunn strongly values the event’s mission of supporting children and families through community involvement.

Annie Dobos – Waterville–Messalonskee Cheer Co-op
Annie Dobos has coached the Waterville and Messalonskee co-op program for five years and is in her sixth year with Waterville and ninth year with Messalonskee. She brings ten total years of coaching experience and works with athletes from PreK through the collegiate level.
A Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl alumna, Coach Dobos has served on the coaching and leadership staff since 2018 and plays a key role in choreography, coordination, and event planning throughout Bowl Week.
The Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Classic is Maine’s premier high school All-Star football game, showcasing over 140 of the state’s top graduating football players and cheerleaders from more than 60 schools. This summer the East and West teams will come together at Don Roux Field for a thrilling and meaningful competition. The event in its 36th year will continue to raise funds to support Shriners Children’s and their mission to provide advanced medical care for kids, regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
